The best way to start this post is by first officially confirming that yes, Magaluf in Mallorca is much cheaper than Ibiza – it’s 100% cheaper in terms of alcohol, partying and food but bare in mind that hotel & flight prices are pretty similar. Magaluf is Ibiza’s younger sister, and that means that she can pretty outrageous and loose on a very tight budget.
Just a quick heads up before we begin, if you can’t decide between Ibiza or Magaluf then you might want to compare this guide to the Ibiza Spending Money Guide and make a concrete decision for 2016, and it’ll probably be wise to share it with friends so you’re not all left in the dark about how much to take.
Magaluf Club Prices
Although you’ll be spending much more money getting into the best venues than actually at the bars, the best thing about Magaluf is that club prices are much lower than Ibiza.
However, you’ll still need to pay to get into the best events and this is where you can leave a dent in your wallet.
That’s why we always suggest to get your tickets in advance of your arrival as this is where you can save most of your money – don’t buy tickets off the street from random touts and workers as they could be fake or you could be paying over the odds.
The best club in Magaluf is BCM and you’ll be paying easily upwards of 50-70 euros per person to get in which isn’t cheap – however, it does include free drinks all night so you’ll be saving there and the DJs playing are some of the best in the world.
You’ll also be paying similar prices for the boat party, but that’s not including free drinks – however on some boats (like the boat party we include for FREE in Together Week Mallorca) you’ll get some free drinks on board saving you more money to spend in the bars and clubs.
Also new for 2015 was BH Live events at the BH Mallorca which featured some of the biggest DJs in the world in an amazing outdoor arena including David Guetta, Steve Angello, Hardwell, Alesso, Martin Garrix, Axwell, Ingrosso, Skrillex, Steve Aoki, Rudimental, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike.
Literally the biggest EDM lineups are there and this event is included for FREE in Together Week again saving you more cash.
Here are some typical entry prices – ALL of these are included for FREE when you book Together Week Mallorca:
- - BCM the number 5 best club in the world for 60 Euros
- - Magaluf Boat Party Booze Cruise for 60 Euros
- - BH Live Hotel with the biggest DJs in the world for 55 euros
- - BH Waterpark – don’t miss this amazing water park for 40 euros
Magaluf Drink Prices
So, you’ve worked your butt of all year and you want to make sure you can drink as much as you want in Magaluf but you’re not sure how much the week of your life is going to cost you? Well here it is.
For all of those in the UK, at the time of writing 1 euro is equal to 75p so that should give you an idea of just how cheap Magaluf is:

Magaluf Food Costs
The price of food in Magaluf is cheap. That doesn’t mean the quality is bad however, there are plenty of places to eat and drink in the Magaluf area where you can have a good meal for around 15 euros.
In the mornings you can always find a place to have breakfast for around €5 and some breakfast fry-ups (sausage, egg, bacon etc) can be found for €3.
You could potential also save yourself even more money by purchasing some cereal and milk from the local supermarket, and just eating that all week on waking up.
They say eating is cheating, but you’re going to need it with the amount of partying that goes down every single day in Magaluf (who the hell is ‘they’ anyway?).
Magaluf Transport Costs
Most of the places you’ll want to go are within walking distance – you may need to grab the odd taxi if you’re hotel is out of the way, but typically popular hotels like HM Martinique and BH Mallorca are within walking distance of most things and the beach.
One thing you will need to cover is your airport transfer cost and we provide transfers for just £15 per person return, to your hotel for check-in and it will even be there for you at check-out back to the airport. If you’re paying any more than that then you’re paying over the odds.
Extra Holiday Costs
Remember to always factor in additional costs like travel insurance which you’ll need to purchase before arrival, any water sports you will want to do (there are plenty, including banana boats, jet skis, and parasailing), and any souvenirs that you will want to bring back home.
Also don’t forget there are limits on the amount of alcohol that you can take back home, so if you think that it’s worth bringing back some alcohol to save some money for the next couple of months at home it’s not worth it as you’ll be taxed a small fortune on arrival at a UK airport.
